I was gonna cry today but I decided to stay in bed. Instead of sittin' 'round feeling bad again I thought I'd grab a pen and write a song. So I wrote a part for you that I think you might like to sing along with me on. But if you're feelin' shy, you don't have to try but we should still try to get along.
So get along sweet darlin', ain't no need to be violent.
We all need to keep tryin' or we'll never see why it's
such a sweet thing to love and such bitterness without.
We can't take it. We can't leave it. We can only give it out.
I was off of my mind again. Couldn't find a friend to confide in. Layin' low and gettin' by and every time I try to mend I'm divided. And the words come out all wrong and it's the saddest song when it's sung alone. So I wrote a part for you that I think you might like to sing along with me on.

I woke up early today this morning, feeling boring, the same old story. Can't seem to find the time ton form these thoughts I think my mind is forming. I would like to spend some time with you sometime. Maybe in the sunshine we can have our way. Cause today is like no other, it's a day to remember that we have only got a little time but at the same time forever,
and ever... and ever... and ever... and ever... and ever...
I heard someone at the bus stop telling the person on their cellphone how we all could use a hand sometimes this world doesn't make sense, that's why we need each other now more than ever before this. We can't really afford it to lose another day. Cause today is like no other. We gotta face it together. Cause we have only got a little time but at the same time, forever,

Lightbulbs and magnets and birdseed, two key-rings and beer. A free double mattress, a two dollar song to sing Claire. It's only half-bit you know. It's all that is left of the show. It's out of habit, you get it and grab it to go.
Suitcases, tambourines, dreams that you never saw through. Pictures and faces and people and places you knew. That's just the way that it goes. The door is always left half closed. Meet it halfway or your life will have nowhere to go.
Pans, bowls and plates and some silverware, forks, spoons and knives. Tenador y cuchillo y cuchara y tu. Something from nothing is true when nothing is something you do. We're all forever together, we'll make it through. We'll take it to go.
